Wejo, a global leader in smart mobility insights, is now a member of the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITSA), an organization that aims to create a better future with intelligent transportation technologies.

As an ITS America member, Wejo will contribute its expertise to drive the development and execution of smart mobility solutions that save lives, improve mobility, increase accessibility, promote sustainability, and enhances the efficiency of roadways. Working with fellow members, Wejo will help to shape the United States national policy, develop targeted business opportunities, and help determine the global future of transportation.

One way Wejo will do this is through joining relevant ITSA Standing Advisory Committees. Wejo’s VP of Government Affairs and Public Policy Management, Hal Lenox, joined the Emerging Technologies and Vehicle-To-Everything (V2X) committees where he will provide his insights as a transportation and government thought-leader.

In the Emerging Technologies Committee, Lenox will work with fellow ITSA members to identify legislative and regulatory barriers and opportunities to safely advance emerging technologies, monitor national trends and related research,  promote best practices and private and public sector partnerships. This committee serves as a forum to address issues such as rapid speed travel hyperloop, urban air mobility and cargo delivery, automated cargo delivery, blockchain, and integrated technology platforms.

In the V2X Committee, Lenox will help to identify legislative and regulatory barriers and opportunities to safely advance V2X technologies and connected transportation. Lenox and his fellow committee members will meet to address topics such as the development and deployment of connected, Vehicle-To-Vehicle (V2V), Vehicle-To-Infrastructure (V2I), and Vehicle-To-Pedestrian (V2P) technologies, spectrum allocation and use, standards development, interoperability among technologies and infrastructure, cybersecurity, and the future of V2X and connected technologies.

Along with joining committees, Wejo will participate in various ITSA events. Wejo will be presenting and exhibiting our Smart Mobility For Good™ solutions at ITS World Congress in September 2022, and will host a webinar with ITSA in Fall 2022.
