To improve mobility, enhance communities and build resiliency, accessing accurate traffic information is crucial – that’s exactly what VHB unlocked.

VHB is an engineering, planning and design firm that works with transportation, real estate, science institution, state government and many more other markets. Traditionally, obtaining traffic counts and traffic condition information is time-consuming and difficult to accomplish with unexpected events causing inaccuracies. So, VHB turned to Wejo to help them create a smarter approach to get accurate and consistent data quickly for their clients to leverage on planning, design ad development projects.

So, what’s one of the many ways VHB used Wejo connected vehicle data for? They helped a county in Virgina to understand how closing a section of a commuter corridor would impact a 11-mile long corridor in the region. Being able to break down data points into small increments allowed them to gain granular insights into what was truly happening on the corridor.

Want to see how they did it? Read the full customer study to understand the challenges VHB faced, the solution Wejo offered and the results.

Probe data, specifically connected vehicle data, is the new and improved way to collect traffic volume data. This is the future, and will benefit everyone by helping us get more accurate insights and move public projects faster to enhance our communities.
