Wejo has been named as the ‘Fastest Growing Company of the Year’ at GP Bullhound’s Northern Tech Awards. The awards ceremony, held in Manchester’s Albert Hall on 28 March, brought together leaders and entrepreneurs from the tech community to celebrate the most inspiring companies in the North.

The award recognises the significant traction wejo has gained over the past year in establishing itself as a leader in the connected vehicle data industry, most pertinently having agreed a partnership with a global auto manufacturer.

Wejo from day one has been headquartered in the North West, reflecting founder and CEO, Richard Barlow’s commitment to the region. wejo’s headquarters are based near Chester, with an office in Manchester to enable the tech firm to tap into the digital expertise required to achieve its global ambitions.

Wejo is proud to be one of the leading businesses in the world in its sphere, putting the North West, and the UK, on the map in an industry that’s typically led by the Silicon Valley pack. In addition to this UK presence wejo is also investing in offices in the US to again capitalise upon growing demand.
