The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is one of the largest technology trade shows in the world, taking place annually in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is a platform where companies from all over the world come together to showcase their latest and greatest technology products and innovations, and this year was no different. From cutting-edge smartphones and laptops to smart home devices and self-driving cars, CES is a glimpse into the future of technology and the trends that are likely to shape the world in the years to come.

CES holds significance in the industry because it sets the tone for 2023 -it's the first big event in the year and it's where companies debut their new products and technologies, launch new marketing campaigns, and make big announcements.

So with that in mind, what happened at this year's event?

How was Wejo involved?

We were proud to join Microsoft's booth to share how we’re enabling the fleet industry to move from:

- Aftermarket dongle installations to data sourced directly from the vehicle

- Inaccurate and unprecise data to high-quality, OEM-grade data attributes

- Having to combine various data streams to native vehicle data combined into a common data model

So how are we doing that?

As part of CES 2023, Wejo was delighted to announce an extended collaboration with Microsoft through the adoption of the Microsoft Connected Fleets reference architecture, which will address the various challenges commercial fleets face by creating an ecosystem of partner solutions.

Read more about how we're working with Microsoft to deliver the future of fleet management.

“In joining Connected Fleets, Wejo will expand its footprint in the Connected Fleets space while embracing Microsoft’s scalability, reliability, and agility to drive application development and shape future business strategies. We’re excited to be part of the Connected Fleets interconnected ecosystem of partner solutions and work with Microsoft on better delivering the data and insights necessary to fleet customers and partners to keep their drivers safe on the road while driving efficiencies across their fleets.”
Richard Barlow, Co-Founder and CEO of Wejo.
