While we can see that Americans have reduced how often they are travelling, we are also seeing a shift in behaviour in where they are travelling to. We analysed retail stores in particular to see how drivers’ habits have changed since COVID-19. As we would have expected, the share of retail visits to supermarkets has increased by 4.6%. We are also seeing more drivers visit DIY stores, with an increase of 2.8% in the share of retail visits.
