Our vision, investor information and leadership team profiles
The Eastern Transportation Coalition (ETC) selected Wejo, a global leader in cloud and software analytics for autonomous, electric, and connected vehicle data, to join their Traffic Data Marketplace. By joining ETC's marketplace, Wejo will enable Departments of Transportation (DoTs) to keep their communities, cities, and states moving safely and efficiently with smart mobility insights.
The ETC is a partnership of 19 states and Washington, D.C., that connects public agencies to increase road safety and efficiency. In the past 25 years, the ETC has evolved from a small, highway-focused group to more than 100 public agencies working together to address the pressing challenges facing the eastern corridor, focusing on Transportation Systems Management & Operations, Freight, and Innovation.
The ETC operates a Traffic Data Marketplace (TDM) that provides members with access to real-time travel data, serves as a source of traveler information, and acts as an input to management tools that supports operations and planning.
The TDM uses data associated with vehicles or passengers, which is harvested from various suppliers, agencies, devices, and technologies within the traffic stream. In July of 2022, ETC will relaunch the marketplace with Wejo as one of their 13 data vendors.
Wejo was chosen to become an ETC Traffic Data Marketplace (TDM) vendor to provide Waypoints data to member agencies. Wejo’s data will provide members with accurate and granular on-the-ground models to give them better insights into their roadways.
