Word from Richard
Hi everyone, thank you for tuning in for our second weekly wrap-up, and for the overwhelmingly warm reception to our first wrap-up last week; it’s awesome you enjoyed it.
I also hope you loved watching Shmee’s drag race last Friday as much as we did? Following this, I’m excited to also share a video with you of a conversation Tim and I had earlier this week, where we caught up on a load of topics. It will be released later today, so do check it out on our YouTube channel. I first met Tim at a track day in 2014 and we got on great, so it was awesome to catch up on all of the things we’ve both been up to since then.
Elsewhere, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes, continuing to lead the connected vehicle and smart mobility revolution and making the world cleaner, safer and more efficient.
We have a host of really great speaking opportunities coming up next week which we’re proud to be involved in, so read on below to see more of what we’ve been up to and what we have instore for the #wejourney.
Shmee150 x Wejo
In case you (somehow) missed it, last Friday we premiered our first collaboration with Tim Burton, aka Shmee150. Tim drag raced a Corvette C8, one of 10.6 million cars on Wejo’s platform, against his Ford Mustang GT500 at Hennessy Performance, Texas. It was a close, edge-of your-seat competition which has so far drawn over a quarter of a million views!
Right off the back of this, today, we are releasing our second collaboration with Tim, where he and Richard sit down over video call to talk Wejo and connected vehicle data. Here, we see two massive and knowledgeable car fans, who have met several times over the years, in conversation on a range of big topics – it’s definitely one to watch.
The video will premiere this evening on Wejo’s YouTube Channel so check it out, also, be sure to subscribe to the channel so you don’t miss out when more fantastic content is released.
Imagine a world where parking and traffic are easier to navigate. Where cars communicate with the world around them to make driving simple. Where emissions and congestion in cities are reduced. That’s the future Wejo is working hard to make a reality, which we have brought to life in our ‘Imagine’ campaign video released in the past week.
We are also dropping sections of this video over time, to break down all the ways Wejo is looking to change the world, for the better.
Check out the campaign video on Wejo’s YouTube channel.
