Manchester, England and Detroit, MI – June 11, 2021 – Wejo, the leader in connected vehicle data, today announced that Bret Scott, Wejo’s VP of Partnerships, presented a session on how government agencies can leverage the power of connected vehicle data (CVD) , during TC Sessions: Mobility 2021 that took place earlier this week.

The one-day virtual event  was organized by TechCrunch, with a goal of breaking through the hype to understand the current state of the mobility revolution and reveal the future of transportation.

In his presentation, “Making Mobility Data Accessible to Governmental Agencies to Meet New Transportation Demands,” Scott explored how local, state, provincial and federal government agencies can visualize traffic, crash and congestion conditions using connected vehicle data, curated from millions of connected vehicles. With accurate, highly granular and unbiased unique journey data, government agencies can gain a deeper understanding of mobility trends and driver behavior to make truly data-driven decisions, support policy development and solve problems more effectively and efficiently.

“Connected vehicles and the data they provide serve as the backbone of safe, smart mobility,” said Scott. “At Wejo, we aim to educate the public on how those insights can be leveraged to bring our ideal future of transportation – safer roads and smarter cities – to life. It was an honor to explore with the TechCrunch audience how, by using connected vehicle data, government agencies can help drive this change."
