Background

The connected car space is one of the fastest growing sectors in the Internet of Things industry. A new generation of vehicles are coming off the production line that are connected by default, ready to revolutionise the car industry in a number of ways.

Car manufacturers are looking to extend traditional infotainment systems, insurers are seeking a better understanding of risk, users are demanding more feedback and firms are generating increasing amounts of data and require support in understanding its applications and value. We are developing new services and products to help clients make the most of their data and realise its value.

  • Promote and apply best practices within the scope of front end development such as but not limited to clean maintainable code, reusable unit tested components and general web standards.
  • Contribute to team advancement though e.g. code reviews and research and development of new technologies.

Essential skills and experience

  • 2 years or more front end development experience using ‘modern’ JavaScript frameworks ( Vue, React, Angular) with HTML and CSS.
  • Unit testing of components using e.g. Karma / Jest etc.
  • Sufficient NPM knowledge to develop and manage an internal library of versioned re-usable components.
  • Development against REST APIs and websockets.

  • A good eye for aesthetics and user experience.

Desired
